      Abstract

Electricity market technology plays a crucial role in promoting the development of renewable energy.Accelerating the construction of a unified national power market system improves the adaptability of the power market to a high proportion of renewable energy sources. This will help optimize resource allocation, improve the flexibility and reliability of the power system, and support the consumption and utilization of renewable energy.Electricity market technology has provided strong support and promotion for the development of renewable energy through a number of aspects, such as market-oriented reform, fair participation, pricing mechanism, international cooperation, publicity and guidance, construction of the electricity market system, green power trading, technological progress and policy support.

The editorial board of Global Energy Interconnection follows the academic frontiers and research hotspots, and plans the topic of “Electricity Market Technologies for Renewable Energy Development”,which centers on the new theories, technologies and practices in this field, and collects and publishes the latest research results of relevant experts.

A total of seven high-quality papers are included in this special issue.Dunnan Liu et al.from North China Electric Power University proposed an evaluation index system of inter-provincial electricity spot markets to solve the balance problems.Hua Wang et al.from Kunming University of Science and Technology conducted research on decision-making behavior of multi-agent alliance in cross-border electricity market environment and considered multiple neighboring countries in the form of alliances.Hai Zhou et al.from Southeast University conducted model simulation of thermal environment and energy effects of rooftop distributed photovoltaics.Weijie Wu et al.from Guangdong Power Grid Corporation investigated the characteristics of electricity markets in different provinces and synthesized a comprehensive set of evaluation indicators to assess market effectiveness.Xinghua Xie et al.from Hefei University of Technology proposed optimal day-ahead scheduling strategy of microgrid considering regional pollution and potential load curtailment.M.A.Moustafa Hassan et al.from Cairo University explores the feasibility of implementing a hybrid microgrid system powered by renewable energy sources.Zhihang Xue et al.from Xi’an Jiaotong University proposed a two-stage black-start model that integrates wind turbines, photovoltaic generators, and energy storage systems.

Through this issue,we hope to showcase the latest developments in areas related to electricity markets. We would like to thank the authors, reviewers and readers for their great support and attention to this issue. We hope that this issue will inspire you to work together to promote the construction of electricity market and realize the efficient use of renewable energy and sustainable development.
